- Ideal 24-hour heat source for tropical and desert reptiles
- Lasts up to 25,000 hours
With the Ceramic Heat Emitter, your pet can receive the necessary heat without the added stress of a bright, blinding light. Radiant heat plays a vital role in creating a healthy habitat for reptiles. Without the appropriate Environmental Temperature Range (ETR), reptiles may struggle to regulate their core body temperature and become more susceptible to chronic infections. It's worth noting that the ideal ETR can vary from species to species, so it's always best to consult a pet professional for lighting recommendations that suit your pet's specific needs.
Instructions for use:
- Screw the Heat Emitter into the Fluker's Repta-Lamp.
- Position the clamp lamp at one end of the enclosure, specifically in the basking area, and plug it in.
- IMPORTANT: Do not position the Heat Emitter directly over glass or plexiglass.
- Ensure that your reptile does not come into contact with the Heat Emitter.
- Turn the Heat Emitter on and let it heat for at least 30 minutes.
- Measure the temperature of the enclosure's floor under the Heat Emitter to confirm that it's suitable for your pet.
Please Note: Certain reptiles need a drop in temperature at night to stimulate their natural breeding behavior. To create a more natural environment, you can use a standard light timer to turn off the Heat Emitter in the evening and turn it back on again in the morning. This approach may be beneficial for your pet's well-being, so it's worth considering if your reptile requires a nighttime temperature drop.
