The Zoo Med Deep Dome Lamp Fixture is designed to help you maintain your pet reptile's temperature at an optimum level. It comes with an extra-long reflector dome that prevents the bulb from sticking out, and a highly polished aluminum interior that maximizes bulb output. Simply insert the bulb, plug in the cord, and place the fixture on top of the mesh screen covering your terrarium, positioning it on the extreme right or left to create a healthy temperature gradient.
Ectothermic reptiles rely on external sources such as the sun for warmth, as they are unable to produce their own body heat. They utilize this heat energy to maintain their bodily functions, digest food and stay healthy. Therefore, heat lamps are necessary to provide the heat required by reptiles.
Instructions for Use:
To use the Zoo Med Deep Dome Lamp Fixture, simply insert the bulb and securely screw it into the socket. Plug the cord into an outlet or timer, and test the on/off switch to ensure that the bulb turns on. Place the fixture on top of the mesh screen covering your terrarium, positioning it above the basking area on the extreme right or left of the enclosure to create a healthy temperature gradient for your pet reptile.
